John, I’m thankful for your writing. You inspire me to be brave and just hit publish, even when I don’t feel like sharing my own story.

• How long does it take you to write an article?
• When you first saw your follower count grow, how did you react? How are your views on your following now, versus where you were months ago? (I’m still not quite sure how to distinguish the “oooh I’m publishing something of my own” angst from the stress of “OHGODINEEDTOPUBLISHSOMETHINGTOPLEASETHEMASSES.”)
• What’s the one thing that’s kept you going on Medium? Was it the success you had, the connections you made, or something else?
